Take It All Away

So I wrote this quite a while ago, and I cannot remember the rest of the words or seem to findthem anywhere, but this is the little I remember. These words come into my mind every so often and I pray them as an attempt to give God all of me to use for His glory. I don't always mean them as much as I should, but it is my heart's cry to be able to say them with all sincerity to the Lord.

Take it all away,
If that is what it takes,
To show me that only You can save me:
Only You in Your glory,
Only You in Your majesty;
How can You see me as holy?
Only by Your mercy.

Beauty Fall

There is a song by the band Re:zound called "Beautiful," but the way he sings it sounds a little like he is saying, "Beauty fall." That is where this idea came from. I hope you enjoy it... :)

chorus
Beauty fall
Fall on me
You're beautiful
Transform me
Into a reflection of Your majesty
Beauty fall
Fall on me

verse 1
Wash over me
Like a/Your soothing rain
Sing over me
Your sweet/beautiful refrain

verse 2
Crash over me
Like a tidal wave
Rescue me
Because only You/You alone can save

Bits & Pieces

Once again, this is a poem/song. I started writing it after visiting my grandparents and thinking about how much you are influenced by those around you: physically by your genealogy, and generally by everyone you come in contact with. When you think about it, you are really bits and pieces of everyone you've ever met, talked to, rejected, ignored, or loved.

verse 1
Bits of you
Make up pieces of me
The words that you speak, the air that you breathe

verse 2
Bits of you
Make up pieces of me
The way you've filled my heart with (your) memories

chorus
You came into my life
And made me who I am
You set my world on fire
And now I'm still aflame
You changed (me)
And made me--into
Bits and pieces of you

verse 3
Bits of you
Make up pieces of me
You taught me how to fly and gave me wings

verse 4
Bits of you
Make up pieces of me
You showed me your heart and taught mine to beat

bridge
Can you see the pieces of you in me?
Each fragmented dream/heart and memories
Tied together with my life
Whether good or bad
Each step, each piece, each memory
Has made me who I am

Thanks for being a piece of my life. :)

Elizabeth

All I Can Do

While this is currently in poem form, my dream is for it to eventually become a song, if I have the time and acquire the talent to make it so. I wrote this in the summer of 2008 and, basically, the theme is the awe of God: just standing in His presence, soaking in His holiness, and worshiping at His feet.

verse 1
I turn my face to You,
The faceless One.
Your glory covers You,
More than the power of the sun.

verse 2
I lift my voice to You,
My Creator, Savior, King.
I marvel that You sing over me,
You, the One who made everything.

chorus
And all I can do,
All I can do
Is stand in awe of You, Jesus.
All I can do,
All I can do
Is worship you now.
I'm in awe by Your holiness.
All I want to feel is Your presence.
I know you gave up all Your splendor
To become my holy Savior.
So all I can do,
All I can do
Is stand in awe of You.

bridge
I don't deserve Your acceptance.
Your love for me is so unexplainable.
I know my life was broken.
You tore my heart open
And poured You burning blood in.
Now my life is Yours.
I can't even comprehend it...
